The company was formed in 1993 to develop a software package for public relations professionals to evaluate the impact of their media coverage. FileMaker Pro was used to develop The Cutting Edge®. It has been one of the best selling media evaluation software packages in the UK since its launch. |

1999 saw the launch of PROfiler™, a contact management system specifically designed for the PR industry. This was also developed using FileMaker Pro. Both packages were developed in conjunction with our partner, the Henshall Centre. |

2003 saw the launch of our .crm range of solutions, starting with Contacts.crm and Trainer.crm. Contacts.crm is a customer relationship management system that can be tailored to just about any industry whilst Trainer.crm is tailored to meet the CRM needs of a training or conference business. Over the years the company has also designed and developed many custom systems to match individual clients’ needs. For example, we designed and developed digital job bag systems for the design departments of the RAC and Kew Gardens to help them keep track of the design jobs going through their studios. Our systems enhance a clients’ business performance and grow as the business grows. |

2004 saw FileMaker launch a new certification programme for its developers. Carl Henshall, founder of Cutting Edge Software, became just the fifth UK developer to gain certification. He was also one of the first UK developers to gain certification for FileMaker 8 when that became available in February 2006 and again when FileMaker 9 certification became available in February 2008. This certification gives you the reassurance that we have technical knowledge of the complete FileMaker 9 product line. |
